Register with eLys as a foreign company

Attention! Only certified funeral homes can access eLys.
The required steps are described on this page.

For non-Belgian companies, only Dutch or Luxembourg funeral homes can access eLys. For other organizations, we recommend working through a Belgian funeral home.

Register the company

Before employees can access eLys, your company must first be registered in 'Gebruikersbeheer Vlaanderen'. To do so, send an email to elys@athumi.eu with the subject line "Register foreign funeral company" and include the following information:

  • Company name and number

  • Excerpt from the trade register of the country where the company is established

  • Names of the legal representative(s)

Once registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions.

Register as an eLys user

Once the company registration is completed, employees of the company can access eLys.

  1. Access must be requested via the self-registration link below:

https://zelfregistratie-gebruikersbeheer.vlaanderen.be/user/aanvraag?an=1160&dg=EA&oc=<enter company number>&ec=Athumi_ELYS_EA_CompEnt_Gebruiker&ctx=uitvaartondernemeruser

  1. The legal representative designated during the company registration process approves this application via https://gebruikersbeheer.vlaanderen.be/.

  2. The user now has access and can log in to https://elys.athumi.eu using the eIDAS option.

  3. Check whether you can successfully log in to the application as a funeral director. If so, you should see the home screen below. You won't see any files yet, as long as eLys isn't live. Are you unable to reach the screen below? Contact us at elys@athumi.eu.
